Other Colorado Hikes
Trail Groups

Distributed by The Globe Pequot Press, April 2002

Hiking Colorado III has been replaced by Hiking Colorado 2nd Edition by Maryann Gaug, a Falcon Guide, published in July 2003.

The 2nd Edition contains updates to Hiking Colorado III, plus In Additions on Leave No Trace and What is Wilderness? The format has been changed slightly, but the information is basically the same (minus outdoor retailers).

The book was originally designed by Beachway Press and includes not only detailed Miles and Directions with GPS coordinates, but also shaded relief maps, elevation profiles, interesting information about each area, best seasons to hike, nearby outdoor stores, restaurants, etc.

Hiking Colorado 2nd Edition (and Hiking Colorado III) covers 50 hikes around the state of Colorado plus 33 Honorable Mentions that couldn't be forgotten. Buy your copy at your favorite bookseller or from www.amazon.com (click on link below). Other interesting books on the Colorado region are also listed.

If your group would be interested in a slide show of lesser known hikes in the books and the adventures of writing a hiking guide, please contact Maryann at maryann@aboutwilderness.com.
